Seven Questions to Ask Your Subcontractor

Updated 28.5.2025
Choosing a subcontractor is always a risk for the client. Answering the right questions isn’t a formality – it’s about building trust.

Here’s how Nord Raudoitus Oy answers the key questions:

✅ 1. What kind of projects have you been involved in?

We have delivered rebar works for wind power foundations, infrastructure projects, and industrial buildings in Finland and Sweden.

You can view our project references on our website.
Feedback and recommendations are available upon request – we’re happy to arrange contact with our clients.

✅ 2. How do you ensure the quality of rebar work?

We check the drawings, verify the quality of the rebar, and document the work before concreting.

Our site management is actively present on site, and critical stages are reviewed together with the client. Quality is not a coincidence for us.

✅ 3. How quickly do you respond to schedule changes?

Immediately.

We aim to prevent delays and changing circumstances through thorough preparation and clear planning of each work phase.

Our experienced staff and a flat organizational structure enable fast decision-making without bureaucracy. The client receives answers directly – without unnecessary delays.

✅ 4. Who leads the site?

Every site has a dedicated supervisor with 5–10 years of experience in similar projects.

The team leader understands the realities of the site and communicates clearly with the client.

✅ 5. Do you supply the rebar?

We offer both options:
  • Full-service: We supply and install the rebar.
  • Labour only: The client provides the materials, and we handle the installation.

We adapt flexibly to the needs of each project.

✅ 6. How do you manage safety and collaboration with other contractors?

All our workers hold valid safety certificates and undergo clear onboarding. We also follow an internal risk management policy.

We’re used to working on large sites alongside other contractors – following agreed guidelines.

✅ 7. What do you do if there are discrepancies or errors in the plans?

We immediately inform the client of any issues, propose solutions, and document the situation clearly.

We are known for identifying problems early – not passing them down the line.

At Nord Raudoitus, we know what demanding construction projects require – and we answer the questions that truly matter.
